The Transportation of NORM/TENORM training course meets the training requirements contained in 49 CFR 172.700 through 49 CFR 172.704 as they pertain to radiation hazards associated with the transportation of Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material.
IF an individual is involved IN ANY capacity with the shipping process of NORM/TENORM contaminated loads (equipment or waste) that are shipped as HAZMAT Class 7 Radioactive Material, EVEN IF ONLY SIGNING THE MANIFEST AS THE WASTE GENERATOR, then Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) requires that individual have HAZMAT training that is specific to shipping radioactive material.
Students, who successfully pass the exam, will be trained in HAZMAT Class 7 Radioactive Material Shipments. This course includes, but is not limited to, the following subjects:
- General Awareness / Familiarization Training
- Function Specific Training
- Safety Training
- Emergency Response Information Requirements
- Protecting the Employee From Radioactive Material In The Work Place
- Specific Measures to Protect Employees From Radiation Exposures
- Methods And Procedures For Avoiding Accidents
- Security Awareness Training
- Hazard Communication As It Applies To The Transportation of NORM/TENORM
Transportation of NORM/TENORM training must be renewed every three (3) years per DOT if no other conditions require retraining prior to the standard three (3) years.

In order to register for this class, please complete the registration form below. Payment is required to complete your registration, which you can use a credit card through the website via Paypal. After submitting the registration, click on the "Pay Now" button. Then click on "Pay with a Debit Card or Credit Card or PayPal Credit Card" link to process the payment using a credit card.
Before submitting your credit card information, ensure that no security precautions will block the transaction, and that you are using the correct billing address. The billing address is the address where the bill is received. Most corporate credit cards have monthly limits, daily limits, and single purchase limits. If you are unable to attend a course, you have the option to:
(1) send a replacement attendee, or
(2) to transfer to a future course held within twelve (12) months from the date of the originally registered course, or
(3) to receive a refund within the perimeters of this policy.
You are allowed rescheduling two (2) times after the originally scheduled course. If you are unable to attend and provide at least two (2) weeks prior notice to an originally scheduled course, you may choose to receive a refund. Refunds are not available after rescheduling.
No Shows, without prior notice to the course, are not available for rescheduling, attendee replacement, or refunds, resulting in a forfeited registration fee in full.
In the event that the course is cancelled or rescheduled by NORM SOLUTIONS LLC, you have the option to:
1) receive a refund,
2) to send a replacement to a future class held within twelve (12) months from the date of the cancelled course, or
3) to transfer to a future course held within twelve (12) months from the date of the cancelled course.
If you choose to receive a refund, then the refund will be issued as appropriate under previous policies regarding course transfer rescheduling and replacement attendees. Course cancellation will not count against any allowable reschedule opportunities. A change in the course instructor, facility, or location, is not considered a course cancellation, and will not result in a refund as described in this class cancellation policy.
Refunds are granted under the following circumstances:
(1) If notice is provided to NORM SOLUTIONS LLC more than two (2) weeks prior to the course the attendee is registered for then a full refund will be granted.
(2) If the attendee mistakenly registered for the NORM/TENORM RSO when a sealed source RSO course was needed. Only a fifty-percent (50%) refund will be granted.
The NORM/TENORM RSO course does not cover sealed sources, gauges, or other radioactive materials not pertaining to NORM/TENORM. This course does not satisfy any RSO training requirements for industrial radiography, well-logging, sealed sources or other radioactive materials not pertaining to NORM/TENORM. NORM/TENORM RSO courses cover Radium-226 and Radium-228 decay chains, and any radionuclides pertaining to sealed sources not associated with NORM/TENORM are not included in this course.
Allowable refunds that meet the requirements of previous applicable policies, are issued back to the form of payment used in the original registration. Refunds are issued within seven (7) to ten (10) business days.

All deliverable materials are protected by the copyright laws of the United States. Any unauthorized reproduction without the expressed permission of Norm Solutions LLC is strictly prohibited.
Attendees hereby authorize NORM SOLUTIONS LLC, to publish photographs taken of attendees during NORM training classes, with their name and likeness for use in NORM SOLUTIONS LLC’s print, online, and video based marketing materials as well as other Company publications. All unauthorized photography, videography and audio recordings are strictly prohibited.
